Here are some photos from one of our access control systems! When building these systems out, we start with a controller unit and add expansion boards that can support 4, 8, or 16 access-controlled devices each, making these systems extremely scalable. From there, we connect the peripheral devices like crash bars, sensors, and electronic locks. The controllers support most pre-existing hardware and cabling, so very little retrofitting is required for existing systems being upgraded to the Avigilon platform. Another cornerstone of a fully featured security solution is cameras. Like other peripheral devices, our systems are flexible and compatible with many third-party units, so you can conveniently connect your existing cameras to the Avigilon console simply by swapping the NVR (Network video recorder) box out for an Avigilon Cloud Connector. If you’re ready to upgrade your cameras too, you’ll get person and vehicle identification, customizable alerts, people counting, similarity search driven by machine learning, and much more!
